Palace Gucci

Potentially the collaboration of the year, and now highly anticipated by Palace fanatics, the Palace Gucci collection has finally been teased and slipped into our conscience, and it’s one to set your alarms for!

Palace and Gucci’s new found collaboration is one to be ’98% unforgettable’ for multiple reasons. Not only does this reach new demographics and remove this sense of hierarchy and disconnect between fashion establishments, such as Alessandro Michele-led luxury house Gucci and street style supreme brands like Palace, whilst offering an exclusive womenswear collection (a contrast to Palace’s usual unisex staples) but it also fuses the brand’s apparent conflicting heritage of styles, crossing over universes and uniting them together, a concept that is highly sought after in a youth culture that celebrates creativity, culture and fusion.

The Leather jacket with embroidering and patches is an iconic moment for all, but the exclusive female collection includes coin purses, loafers, canvas mini skirts in their signature beige Gucci Guccissima canvas, but also includes a run of baby pinks and blues, bringing back an essence of the 90’s to early 2000’s Timberlands era. The collection also cues Standout item’s such as the dual branded loafers finished with ‘P’ charm’s (P for Palace Phenomenon), alongside duffle bags, football jersey, shearling jackets, airpod cases, bootcut jeans and an exclusive run of 10 worldwide dual branded Palace Gucci safes and Palace Gucci Motto Guzz V7 motorbike’s. The co branded monogram propels Palace and Gucci's agenda to dress the streets head to toe in the collection, from footwear to a wool beanie hat, and all the fun stuff in-between. Essentially, Gucci took a trip to London, Palace underwent Gucci-fication, and gucci left ‘Guccier than Gucci’ …what’s not to love about this colliding of universes?

 

The collection will be available through Gucci Vault, Gucci's experimental store front and playground of iconic brand and style partnerships, and limited stores. The collection has been suggested to be inspired by the streets where fashion is ’given life’ and transformed into a hypothetical inventive runway, showcasing brands in a new light of individuality.

 

It’s fair to say the drop thats set to be officially launched on October 21st isn't little, and was already causing waves through hearsay in the fashion community, and streetwear heads are here for it!
